Featured Preopening: Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe

Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe, an Alabama-based restaurant chain known for its fresh, handcrafted Mediterranean-inspired dishes, is expanding its presence in Texas with a new location at 22103 Bulverde Road, Suite 104, San Antonio, TX 78259.

Construction on the 3,100-square-foot restaurant began in January 2025, with an estimated investment of $250,000. The soft opening is anticipated for early August, followed by a grand opening around August 15, 2025, pending construction timelines.

This San Antonio location is a franchise owned by locals Cole Leinneweber, Mark Parmerlee, and Lexie Leinneweber. Lexie, a New Braunfels native and University of Auburn alumna, frequented Taziki’s during her college years. Inspired by the brand’s unique offerings and community appeal, she aimed to introduce the concept to the San Antonio and New Braunfels areas.

The menu at Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe features a variety of Mediterranean-inspired dishes, including homemade dips, gyros, salad bowls, and soups. The restaurant emphasizes fresh ingredients and offers options suitable for various dietary preferences, such as vegan and gluten-free choices.

In addition to the San Antonio location, the franchisees are also opening a Taziki’s in New Braunfels at 1058 FM 306, Suite 104, New Braunfels, TX 78130, with an expected opening date of April 22, 2025.

Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe was founded in 1998 by Keith and Amy Richards after a trip to Greece inspired them to bring Mediterranean flavors and hospitality to their hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. Since then, the brand has grown to over 100 locations nationwide, offering a fresh and healthy dining experience.
