Chinitas is set to open next summer at Water Street’s expanding dining scene in Henderson, Nevada. The location will be 147 S. Water Street, near chef Scott Pajak’s new restaurant, Triple B — Brooks Brothers Burgers at the Rainbow Club & Casino and across the street from the temporarily closed Eldorado Casino.
The 6,400 square foot space will be a Mexican and Asian supper club with a full bar that will also include an outdoor space large enough to accommodate 200 revelers for post-pandemic live entertainment, such as mariachi bands. A second floor event space is also planned.
Owned and operated by Chanthy Walsh, Chinitas, which is Spanish for “Asian girl,” pays homage to her former establishment Chinita Mexican Bar & Grill at Town Square, which has been shuttered for a number of years. During this time, Walsh has continued to own and operate the popular Sonrisa Grill at Lake Las Vegas.
